![]() ![]() If the new deere doesn't use DEF, it might push me to the red side. I'd stay with JD but you have to do what you feel is best. ![]() What transmission? IVT would really shine pulling a planter. never has left me stranded just had to restart it. we love our 290 and haven't had any issues except for a sensor but turned out to be a wire harness. if you want combfort and ride the case is awesome. I think the jd ils might move farther but thats all i can remember. ![]() I have 6 JD dealers within comparable drive time with three within 20 min and one just down the road.ĭoes anyone have experience with each of these two tractors? How does the CaseIH front suspension compare to the JD ILS? I searched the subject and I found that CaseIH has an issue with power hop and this tractor will be hooked to a 5 shank 512 in the fall so I cant have something that wont be able to do some heavy work. But here is the kicker the Nearest CaseIH Dealer is 40 miles. We are convinced that the Case will do just as good of job and be just as good of a machine as the JD. We would go with the JD no question but we can get into a Case for less money. One of our seed customers has an 8270R with ILS and that is very nice to drive. We value ride and comfort in a tractor more than anything and we have herd that the new red tractors are very nice. We purchased a new 1250 IH planter this summer and before that we have never had anything red on our farm. We are in the market for a new tractor and we are looking at either the 260 Magnum or the 8260R. The new cylinder liner O-rings of the correct material are effective from the following product identification numbers: ) If there is not a coolant additive PIP for the machine filed in the CNH Warranty system = no coverage. (Notice that a tractor originally sold in 2011 has already exceeded the 10-year limit. If the machine received the coolant additive Product Improvement Program (PIP ) and the antifreeze & additive have been serviced at the stated maintenance intervals since then, oring failure will be covered up to 7500 hourmeter reading or 10 years from the original retail date. IMHO, if a 2011 engine had the bad orings, they should have already failed by now, but I'll admit that's rule of thumb - not science. So yes, it's hit or miss if an engine got the bad orings. The problem was caused by incorrect oring material from one of the three vendors who furnished the orings. A lot of others didn't, but we did our best to cover all of the machines in our area. CNH did send letters to registered owners advising them to have the PIP done several of our customers brought their letters in to the dealership. If the coolant additive PIP was not done, then you're SOL. Copy from post I made in January, and I assure you it's straight. ![]()
